📄 Abstract

<p>Agriculture is the backbone of India and still rural folk is depended on agriculture for their livelihood. But at the same time many of the farmers are shifting form agriculture activities to the other activities and rural exodus is increasing in these days, due to decrease in the income from agriculture and increase in the cost of agriculture especially in marketing cost. The marketing efficiency of agriculture produce is decreasing day by day and the share of farmers in the consumers&rsquo; rupee is also decreasing due to increase in the marketing cost and marketing margin, this is because of more price spread in the channels of distribution. An effort has been made through this paper to analyse the marketing efficiency of Ragi in Tumakuru district.&nbsp;</p> <p><strong>KEY WORDS:</strong> Marketing Cost, Price Spread, Marketing Efficiency.</p>
