📄 Abstract
<p>One of the main aims of demonetization of currency was to introduce a cashless society in India. But, adapting to cashless society was not an easy task for the Indian society especially the traders. As most of the traders were not used to cashless transactions, this move brought by the Government of India had a very great impact on the traders. A study was therefore made to analyze the ease/difficulty in adapting to cashless transactions by traders in Kancheepuram district, Tamil Nadu in their trading activities. The study reveals that though majority of the traders found it easy to adapt to cashless transactions yet there were differences concerning years in business, annual turnover and qualification among the traders.</p> <p><strong>KEYWORDS: </strong>Cashless Transactions, Traders, years in business, annual turnover</p>
