Abstract

Type 2 diabetes mellitus (T2DM) is a chronic metabolic disorder characterized by insulin resistance and insufficient insulin secretion, leading to hyperglycemica and various associated complications such as cardiovascular disease, neuropathy, and nephropathy. Current therapeutic approaches aim to manage blood glucose levels, enhance insulin sensitivity, and reduce resistance, yet there remains an ongoing need for novel therapeutic agents. Advances in bioinformatics and computational drug discovery methods, including molecular docking and virtual screening, have become integral in accelerating the identification and optimization of potential drug candidates for T2DM.
