📄 Abstract
This study empirically examines the variations in Gross Enrolment Ratios (GER) across social categories in Telanganas education sector. Using official datasets and secondary sources, the analysis highlights disparities among Scheduled Castes, Scheduled Tribes, Other Backward Classes, and General categories. Findings reveal persistent enrolment gaps between rural and urban learners and between genders. The study also traces progress since the formation of Telangana in 2014. The outcomes emphasize the need for policy interventions targeting inclusivity. Recommendations are made to enhance equitable access and retention in education.
