📄 Abstract
Financial risk management is crucial for the dynamic company surviving in the complexities of the world-wide market place in which fluctuations in exchange rates, political unrest and economic insecurity present far greater risks than in a decade past. This study investigates multidimensional financial risk mitigating strategies adopted by multinational corporations (MNCs) to address the challenges posed by currency, credit and operations. In examining more sophisticated tools such as hedging, diversification, scenario analysis, and technology based forecasting, the paper highlights the strategic role of proactive risk management in developing organizational resilience. Objectives include an evaluation of the efficacy of these strategies, a theory on integrated risk management, and specific adaptation for a dynamic global environment. The paper demonstrates how efficient, sustainable risk management is not only about protecting assets but can be at the core of competitive advantage and long-term growth. The study advocate the need for a comprehensive solution, integrating financial instruments, strategic planning and technological innovation, to face the peculiarities of international business. Contribution: The study contributes to theory and practice by providing practical directives that can be used to design the organisational strategy of the firm in its quest to succeed in a turbulent business environment; with renewal and strategic focus.
